Success Stories

These success stories are just a sample of why we do what we do. They illustrate why our work is important. The clinic has made and will continue to make an incredible impact on many children’s lives not just in the moment, but for the future.

Nearly 20 years ago there was a shy high school student who spoke with her hands covering her mouth because she was embarassed by her smile. We had the pleasure of seeing this patient in private practice after completion of her orthodontic treatment (provided at no cost from Dr. Stuart Gutsche) and graduation from high school – she had become outgoing and was a nanny while attending college.

A former patient of the dental clinic received an award from the Berwyn-Devon Business Professional Association towards her tuition at a dental hygiene school. Another patient served by the clinic and Tredyffrin & Easttown Care (a community organization) also received a college scholarship from the association.

One young patient had his upper front baby teeth extracted in an operating room before becoming an elementary school student. He had suffered from severe baby-bottle cavities. After dental treatment at the clinic, including orthodontic services to reposition permanent teeth to restore function and his smile, this young man joined the Marines after graduating from high school.

Many other young patients have benefited from the work of the Children’s Dental Clinic and community dentists. We’ll let the following before and after pictures speak for themselves!
